day one.two, bullis park (playground)

as she walked, a thought
solidified
that with no party she had
no day. just the semblance of time time
takes
so many breaks when you live
in a dream she found herself
now standing by a,
looking toward a,
staring at a playground, no children
to stare back, empty
as a winter field when
a playground has no children what
does it become?

she sat down to swing.

day one.one, bullis park (entrance)

she arrived. there was no
party there were no
barbecues no barbecued food there were
no
people. had i misread the invitation
or had it been a dream vivid
as it seemed she had held, opened the envelope
held, stared at the card but it's true
dreams
had always clouded her view.
presently she couldn't trust what was
real what was dream are
these balloons, one
living one
dead evidence that
i had not been dreaming or simply that
i still am.

she walked.
